R&D Diet Cookie

Postby lindaw78 on Sat Feb 28, 2009 10:44 pm

I started the R&D Diet Cookie program back in December when I first heard of them. I lost 18 lbs so far and I have to admit it has been pretty effortless. I had difficulty losing weight after my 2nd child until I started the cookies. I have 30 more lbs to go. I will keep ya'll posted!

I'm going to try them! I just ordered 1 month supply of the r and d diet cookies and they should be here early next week. I sure hope it will be as easy as you say... if not, I will let you know! I will come back each week to let you know how it is going. Wish me luck! I have 590 lbs I want to lose.

OK… as much as I hate to admit it, my wife was right. She tried for half a year to get me to go on the R&D cookie diet. I tried for about a week but gave up. I am a big man. Six foot and 260 lbs (at my worst) and I thought she was out of her mind when she wanted me to eat only 6 of those little cookies throughout the day and then one meal! I’ve been a quantity eater all my life and I needed more than that! I’m a big boy!

So I tried everything else to prove to her that I could lose weight on my own. I was going to prove that I could exercise it off! I was able to when I was younger. I bought the P90X program and started it faithfully but after 2 months I hadn’t lost any weight (I felt better but weighed the same). That was frustrating. I finally gave in and agreed to try the cookies again. I work at a location that feeds me and I don’t have a choice as to what they serve. I also work from 2pm to 10 pm so I used the cookies a little differently. I take a bag with me every day and eat 2 or 3 on my way to work (I leave at noon). Then I eat my meal at work around 4 or 5pm. Then I have 2 or 3 cookies later that evening and I make sure I eat 1 or 2 on my way home at night. Once home, I try my best to go to bead by midnight or 1AM and before I go snooping around the kitchen.

It took almost a month for me to break some of my habits. I’m doing really well now and I started the P90X program for the second time. I’ve actually lost 18 lbs in 2 months! I have been slowly going down in weight since then. I’m not real strict with my diet and I eat whatever is free at work. I usually eat more than 6 cookies each day (8 to 10). It took me about a month to get used to them. At the beginning I still ate a lot (and I mean a lot) at work but I have since tried to reduce it down to what a normal person would consider a single meal. I almost always no longer eat late at night when I get home from work and most of the time when I do, it’s something innocuous like a bowl of Fiber One and soy milk (my wife is a Vegan).

I keep a bag of the R&D Diet Cookies with me all the time now (usually in my truck). The diet cookie program has taught me portion control. It has taught me that I don’t have to eat all the time. It has taught me that I can stay satisfied simply on those silly little cookies! I never thought I would be on a cookie diet and I never thought they would actually work for me but here I am… living proof! My wife had super success on the cookies. I’m slower but I don’t try as hard as she does. But I now have a system (program?) that works for me and it’s easy enough for me to do without much thought.

I just wanted to share this with all of you in case you think it may help you.

Me again... it's working! It was slow starting the first few days but I finally got into the groove and I've lost 21 lbs so far and I feel great! My suggestion... don't worry if you end up eating 8 to 10 cookies the first and / or second day. By the 4th or 5th day you will be on track and hve to remember to eat more that 3 or 4! See ya' next month!

Me again. I wanted to come back and share...
First off, I lost 30 lbs right away back around June. I haven't lost any more weight but I haven't been trying either. I don't know how to explain it but ever since I went on the R&D diet Cookies I haven't been obsessing over food anymore! I've just had a wonderful summer where food wasn't a major concern (good or bad!). More importantly, I havent gained any of the weight back! I feel great. I look great. My clothes look so much better on me. I wore a bathing suit at the coast for the first time in 15 years! If I lose the rest of my goal weight, great... but if I don't, I'm fine with it too! 50 lbs would have made me really thin. Now I just look healthy.
I still use the cookies most days. I start the day with 1 or 2. I found that when I start with them, the rest of the day I'm not craving or even thinking about food. I actually feel better when I use them. Must be the fiber or something. I just feel healthier. Like I said, it's hard to explain. I just am so thankful that I finally found something that has given me back control!!! I recommend them to anyone who is healthy and is tired of the losing and gaining back cycle. I am so comfortable with my eating now... I know I will never gain those 30 lbs back!

I just wanted to leave an update for all who are interested... I lost a total of 33 lbs using the R&D Diet Cookies. First time ever I went through the holidays and actually lost a couple of pounds! I totally recommend them. They have a couple of new flavors I've already tried... the Cranberry is really good!

I lost 70 lbs total about 2 yrs ago using the R&D Diet Cookies. Yes, it was 20 lbs/month at first, then 15/mo and then 10/month. I did get stuck for abut 6 months and just couldn't motivate myself into going back on the cookies and didn't lose any weight. Then, I found a suggestion in one of the forums and tried it. don't know if it will work for everyone (nothing works for everyone) but this is what I did... I went on Atkins, took a couple of days to get into ketosis then started the cookies. Cookies during the day and an Atkins friendly dinner and BAM the weight started to come off again and I lost my last 20 in no time. I used the R&D Diet Cookies and was able to stay in ketosis. I'm not sure the other brands are Atkins-friendly. the cookies sure do taste good when you are on Atkins! The thing I like about these cookies is that during those 6 months I didn't gain back any of the weight I had already lost. I was still using the cookies a little and trying to get motivated to lose more but I ended up using them as a maintenance. After I lost the weight I used the R&D Cookies for about 6 months now and then as maintenance... then I just didn't need them any more. Still kept the weight off.
