You are supposes to loose 10 lbs a week and eat 6 diet cookies a day. Is that even possible?

Yes It's works...the Smart for Life cookie diet.
The Smart forLife Cookie Diet has helped me lose weight. I lost 40 pounds in 3 month. i am still on the program and still losing! This is the easiest program I have been on and was excited when they opened one in Minnesota. I am now healthy, active and feel a lot better about myself and my friends at the office are doing it also! We are Smart for Life. I wish I would have started early. If you knew how good I feel I could sell you the diet! I love it. It's so simple and a no brainer!

Hi everyone. I have been very moved by all the posts placed here by earnest people struggling with losing weight. I have been in your shoes. I thought I would tell you my story of success and hopefully it will help some of you.
I am 53 yrs old. I was in pretty good shape in high school and over the next 35 yrs I gradually gained 65 lbs. I yo-yoed through the years. I got back in really good shape when I was 36 then I got married. I’ve tried every diet imaginable, even the “just eat less” program. I had some success with all of them but I couldn’t stick with them or I couldn’t keep the weight off. I would lose 5 and gain back 10… lose 10 and gain back 15… and so on. My weakness is carbs. I love pasta, desert, bread, fast food (I could live at Taco Bell and Schlotzsky!). I could never just eat one donut. If I ate one, I ate 10. If I ate 1 cookie, I ate 12. etc.
I heard about the cookie diet in 2008. I did a little research and found the R&D Diet Cookie. It fit my budget better than any of the others. I thought I would give it an honest try. I have basically been on the R&D cookie diet, or some form of it, since. I lost a total of 50 lbs. My goal was to become a size 8 again and I made it in 3 months. I lost 20 lbs the first month, 15 the second month, and my last 15 the third month. I had to work harder at it the 3rd month but I was so close it was worth it. I have kept the weight off for 10 months. It has been pretty effortless. I still eat 1 or 2 cookies each day simply to maintain control and because I like the way I feel when I eat them. I could probably quit them completely but I feel no need to.
I’ve never been much for working out. I don’t like to exercise. I try to walk and keep active. After I lost about half the weight I started working out a little because it simply felt good! I also started eating better. While I was losing the weight I made sure my evening meal was healthy and balanced. I started only worrying about calories for the evening meal. That worked but I admit that I mostly followed the Engine 2 Diet for my evening meal during the last month. The cookies helped me stay on that diet. I am happy and I feel better than I ever have!
I encourage all of you who keep giving up because you think you have no will power to try this program. It really works!! You can and will do it as long as you put your mind to it - and you can even cheat once a month. We are all human and need to do that every once in a while. Don't beat yourself up - just know what you are doing. You will stop - just remember what you looked like and felt like on day one and how far you have come. That always works for me.
And, if you don't exercise, start walking today - the spring is a wonderful time to begin. You will feel so great once you do. And keep the bad carbs out of your life - no white bread, no white pasta, no sugar, etc - that's the biggest problem with our society. Eat lots of plant based foods, leave out the added fat (no butter or mayo!).
I am in the best shape I have EVER been in… I have a great plan… I am in great health and have a great attitude… thanks to the R&D Diet Cookie!
Here’s a note to all of the people out there who have tried other programs and failed… don’t give up! You just have to find out what works for you! If you think something like the r&d diet cookie program will work for you…don’t let anyone talk you out of it. Not all of us are designed for the gym (I admire the ones who are!). Some of us need a different kind of help but don’t want to use drugs. I know it works because I’ve done it!
If you can’t find their website, email me and I will send it to you along with some of my recipes I use (if you are interested).

I agree, the Smart For Life plan worked for me as well. I lost an average of 12 - 14 ponds a month, got to my gaol weight and now am on their maintenance program. I found them at www.smartforlife.com. I never got bored with the variety of organic foods they have. Cookies, soups, shakes, muffins, granola, puddngs and smart bagels. They also have amazing marinades that helped with the preparation of my dinners. Eat 6 cookies, lose weight, it's that simple...just like their commercials.

OK… as much as I hate to admit it, my wife was right. She tried for half a year to get me to go on the R&D cookie diet. I tried for about a week but gave up. I am a big man. Six foot and 260 lbs (at my worst) and I thought she was out of her mind when she wanted me to eat only 6 of those little cookies throughout the day and then one meal! I’ve been a quantity eater all my life and I needed more than that! I’m a big boy!

So I tried everything else to prove to her that I could lose weight on my own. I was going to prove that I could exercise it off! I was able to when I was younger. I bought the P90X program and started it faithfully but after 2 months I hadn’t lost any weight (I felt better but weighed the same). That was frustrating. I finally gave in and agreed to try the cookies again. I work at a location that feeds me and I don’t have a choice as to what they serve. I also work from 2pm to 10 pm so I used the cookies a little differently. I take a bag with me every day and eat 2 or 3 on my way to work (I leave at noon). Then I eat my meal at work around 4 or 5pm. Then I have 2 or 3 cookies later that evening and I make sure I eat 1 or 2 on my way home at night. Once home, I try my best to go to bead by midnight or 1AM and before I go snooping around the kitchen.

It took almost a month for me to break some of my habits. I’m doing really well now and I started the P90X program for the second time. I’ve actually lost 18 lbs in 2 months! I have been slowly going down in weight since then. I’m not real strict with my diet and I eat whatever is free at work. I usually eat more than 6 cookies each day (8 to 10). It took me about a month to get used to them. At the beginning I still ate a lot (and I mean a lot) at work but I have since tried to reduce it down to what a normal person would consider a single meal. I almost always no longer eat late at night when I get home from work and most of the time when I do, it’s something innocuous like a bowl of Fiber One and soy milk (my wife is a Vegan).

I keep a bag of the R&D Diet Cookies with me all the time now (usually in my truck). The diet cookie program has taught me portion control. It has taught me that I don’t have to eat all the time. It has taught me that I can stay satisfied simply on those silly little cookies! I never thought I would be on a cookie diet and I never thought they would actually work for me but here I am… living proof! My wife had super success on the cookies. I’m slower but I don’t try as hard as she does. But I now have a system (program?) that works for me and it’s easy enough for me to do without much thought.

I just wanted to share this with all of you in case you think it may help you.

I was wondering the same thing but for different reasons. I started the cookie diet on Tues..JUST 2 DAYS AGO..and the scale says I lost 10 lbs. I check my weight that morning and this morning..there is a 10 lb difference. same scale. IS this even possible? Does this diet eliminate water weight first?? I am totally confused!

Hi!
The cookie diets are great...lost 22 pounds 2 years ago and still keeping it off. I used Dr.Siegel's Cookie diet and Smart for life. Does anyone else think they
taste awful? To help maintain my weight I found a new, better tasting more affordable cookie diet. Suzy's Weigh Better Cookie Mixes.
They taste great and you bake them at home! Really easy and very filling.
Good luck everyone and keep up the good work.
Loving the cookie diet!

Yes, it is really possible. But... you lose 10-15 lbs per month (not per week). I lost 70 lbs about 2 years ago using the R&D Diet Cookies. I lost 20 lbs the first month, 15 lbs the second month, then about 10 lbs each month after that. There is nothing wrong with fast weight loss. It can actually be better because you stay motivated to lose the weight once and for all instead of yo-yo-ing up and down. The old way of slow weight loss is like a tease that you simply can not maintain! I recommend the R&D Diet Cookies. They taste a whole lot better and cost much less. I also think they work better.
